Well well, it looks like the mythical Sony Ericsson Satio is soon to go from beautiful fever-dream to actual reality — it’s popped into the FCC database with test results on GSM 850 and 1900, otherwise known as EDGE. Yeah, that sort of sucks, but we’re still holding out hope, since we don’t know the full story — it could be destined for a lame existence on AT&T, it could be sold unlocked, or it could be a Canadian or Latin American model. Seriously, though — it’s the Satio, and the government has one. You know what that means.

Sony-Ericsson Jalou
“Structured forms, intricate corners, hidden depths and jewel accents are set to be some of the hottest fashion trends in 2010. You can also expect to see deep and natural jewel colours on the runway next year. The Sony-Ericsson Jalou cell phone reflects these trends with its delicate facet-cut diamond shape design, clean and expressive lines and variety of different shine and matt finishes, that give depth to the handset,” comments Charles Hunt, Jalou head designer at Sony Ericsson. “The design team wanted the new Sony-Ericsson handset to reflect beauty found in nature. They looked at structure, strength and form in various crystalline jewels, which resulted in the unique shape.”

Combining beauty with cutting-edge technology, The new Sony-Ericsson Jalou has build-in features that will keep you entertained and looking fabulous as well. The two inch screen’s clever design means that at the touch of a button the screen becomes a mirror, offering a discreet way to make sure you look as good as your mobile phone. It is also the first Sony Ericsson to feature Walk Mate step counter, to help you stay in shape wherever you go. The Jalou from Sony-Ericsson also has an exclusive fashion interface which automatically updates with zodiac signs and special events throughout the year. The Sony-Ericsson Jalou mobile phone will be available in a variety of gem inspired colours including: Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black.

“A fashion phone with a jewel-inspired design and with a limited Dolce&Gabbana edition”, as GSMArena claims, Sony Ericsson Jalou, is well, Sony Ericsson jalou
That is reality and no concept (forget our previous post!)

The Jalou is a petite clamshell – just 73 mm tall when closed – and weighs the handbag-friendly 84 grams. The internal display has a special finish that allows it to double as a mirror – how thoughtful! Jalou will be available in attractive gem colors like Onyx Black, Aquamarine Blue and Deep Amethyst.

The Sony Ericsson Jalou will have a limited, Dolce&Gabbana-branded edition giving it serious fashion cred. It will have all the techy features of the regular Jalou but elements like 24 carat gold plating and Sparkling Rose color scheme make it exclusive. There’s also preloaded content like photos and videos of the 2010 Autumn/Winter runway show including backstage footage. Specially crafted wallpapers and themes are a given as well.
