Apparantly Sony Ericsson’s flagship eco mobile phone for this year is expected to sell for around £300 Sim-free.
The low-energy Sony Ericsson GreenHeart C901 (top) and Naite (bottom) are made from at least 50 per cent recycled materials
Sony Ericsson said the phones honoured their ‘long standing commitment to eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals from the product design and manufacturing process.’
They claim the changes reduces the CO2 footprint of the phones by 15 per cent.
Both phones include an application to let the customer work out the greenhouse gas emissions they can save by walking instead of taking a car.
The C901 and Naite are expected to go on sale later this year. They are being promoted as the ‘pioneer products’ of Sony’s green business strategy.
