Sony Ericsson Entertainment Unlimited Phones Aino and Satio get firmware upgrades making them less buggy and more effiicient and user-friendly. As we know, the two phones were going headlong down all thanks to Aino’s buggy touchscreen and Satio’s irredeemable software bugs.

Sony Ericsson, in a bid to save the phones from swooshing down the alleys, has gone a step further and upgraded the firmwares. The new firmware for Aino™, version – R7AA071 is already available for updating in SEUS.

Satio too, gets an update.

The new firmware gets version R1CA037 as opposed to R1BB041, a prior version. Once again, we must remember that SEUS is the application you wanna use in order to upgrade your firmware.

“Aino has sold in limited numbers in the UK, so this issue affects only a very small number of customers,” says a Sony Ericsson representative.

Aino and Satio are Sony Ericsson’s key products for the final quarter,” said analyst Geoff Blaber from British consultancy CCS Insight.

“These problems couldn’t come at a worse time — just as the market approaches the highest volume weeks of the year. They have days not weeks to fix these issues,” Blaber added.

Sony Ericsson has had a seriously bad financial year. And the failure of its two high-end phones seems to be writing a disaster off in the fate of the once popular mobile proprietors. Its yet to be seen whether the two successors of Xperia are able to pull the company out of its misery.

Aino and Satio will both launch around the 7 of October. SE has issued a “save the date” press invite with “To celebrate the retail launch of Sony Ericsson’s hotly anticipated Satio and Aino handsets” in the memo.

Users of Sony Ericsson’s Aino are allowed to control PlayStation 3 and access its media content. For TV lovers in Italy, France, Spain, Germany and in the UK, users can also enjoy the PlayTV service on Playstation 3 via the Aino, according to the company.

Aino also introduces Media Home, an application that pulls media content from Media Go on user’s PC over Wi-Fi to the phone automatically, the company said.

The Aino includes a three-inch 16 million-color screen, 8.1-megapixel camera, A-GPS and Bluetooth, and a keypad combined with an intuitive touch UI in media mode, the vendor highlighted.
