Since we were unable to post for quite some time, hence we extend our apologies. A good number of changes occurred in the last few months. Here’s a small compilation of the most important things that happened .
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, SE’s flagship phone, sports a huge 4 inch capacitive AMOLED screen( 480 x 854 pixels) , an 8 MP camera with flash (3264×2448 pixels), autofocus, strong LED flash with touch focus, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile detection.
Connectivity includes GPRS, EDGE,3G, Wi-Fi (802.11b) Bluetooth (v2.1 with A2DP) and v2.0 microUSB. It comes with internal memory of 1 GB storage, 384 MB RAM and extendable up to 32GB (8GB card included). It doesn’t have radio included but A-GPS is supported.
Comes in the Sensuous Black, Luster White colors.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini and Xperia X10 mini pro
There’s not much difference between mini and mini pro except the fact that mini pro has a Qwerty keypad for faster typing. And X10 mini pro weights 120 g whereas X10 mini weighs only 88 g. Common features features include the following-
Both phones run on Android 1.6 and has a processor of Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz. A 2.55 inches TFT touchscreen, 16 M colors, and
240*320 display which is scratch resistant, has Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate andTimescape UI. Both phones include a 5 MP with image capture of 2560х1920 pixels, autofocus and LED flash.
Standard Wifi, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, A-GPS v2.0 A2DP Bluetooth, v2.0 microUSB are connectivity features. None of the phones include an Infrared port. A 3.5 mm jack is added to both the phones.
Internal memory includes 128 MB with a card slot expandable upto 16 GB (2 GB included).
X10 mini pro is available in black and red. X10 mini has more shades available, namely, pearl white, black, pink, lime, red, silver.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 looks like Xperia X10.
It runs on Android 1.6 OS with Timescape (SE promises to update it to 2.2 by the third quarter of this year); sports a 3 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 320×480 HVGA resolution; supports both 2G and 3G networks and includes a 3.2 MP camera with no flash but video recording(@30f/s), Facebook picture upload support and Geo-tagging are possible.
Other features include the 3.5 mm headphone port, 128 MB internal memory, extendable upto 16 GB, v2.0 Bluetooth, Stereo FM and WiFi. The phone is light (104g)compared to other phones in this range . It also includes A-GPS.
Sony EricssonYendo
is a non 3G 2.6 inches TFT resistive touchscreen (256K colors) phone with 240 x 320 pixels and 2 MP (image capture of 1600×1200 pixels), without flash and a CPU of 156 MHz. It supports GPRS and EDGE. Wifi, GPS and Infrared Port are not included in the model. Java MIDP 2.0 is supported.
A standard walkman player with shake control, facebook and twitter apps are included.
It has a bizarre internal memory, only 5 MB
and is extendable upto 16 GB. It comes in the following colors -black, blue, green, orange, pink, purple, red, silver, white and yellow.
Sony Ericsson Cedar Greenheart is a non-touchscreen phone with 2.2 inches screen (240*320 pixels) with a 2 MP camera (1600*1200 pixels). Video recording is possible at VGA 30f/s.
GPRS, EDGE and 3G are available. Data can be transferred via bluetooth (v2.0 A2DP) and microUSB (v2.0)
Other features include the addition of YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter apps and an intelligent Widget manager.
This model is available in black/silver and black/red.
Sony Ericsson Spiro
has a 240 x 320 pixels, 2.2 inches display. It has a 2 MP, 1600×1200 pixels wide, a 5 MB internal memory extendable up to 16 GB. Stereo FM, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, USB all are included in this model.
Its available in Contrast Black, Sunset Pink, Spring Green and Stealth Black.
Sony Ericsson Zylo Walkman,
similar to Spiro has a TFT screen with 2 MP camera( 1600*1200 pixels) The phone measures 103 x 52 x 11.5 mm. SE Zylo weight compiles 115 g. The Sony Ericsson Zylo’s QVGA display measures 2.6 inches.
Other features include 3D gaming, Google Maps, stereo Bluetooth, Google Search, NetFront browser. The Sony Ericsson Zylo’s camera sports a 3.2 megapixels with video recording.
- Existing phone upgrades
features Symbian OS S60 5th Edition, a 16.9 nHD wide 3.2″ 640×360 pixels (WVGA) 16,777,216 colour touchscreen display,an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus and image stabilization, face detection.
It runs on a 720MHz processor, 720p video capture and includes the standard 3.5 mm audio jack. Data connectivity includes a Micro USB connector, TV-out (VGA resolution), aGPS and Wi-Fi™.
Sony Ericsson Vivaz™ sizes 107 x 51.7 x 12.5 mm and weights only 97 grams.
- Vivaz got
a new version- Vivaz Pro. This new model differs from Vivaz very slightly, having a 5 MP camera (2560х1920 pixels) autofocus, LED flash instead of 8 MP and a Qwerty keypad.
