Apart from these, some of the elemental terms you need to know before you attempt flashing are-

Main- Main Firmware. The OS (Operating System like Windows) of your phone. But its unchangeable.

FS stands for File System. Like Your Windows drivers, the phones too have drivers to manage the hardware functionalities. And FS contains drivers like sound, camera etc alongwith files such as images, menus.

That brings us to Flash Menus. We are sure you have come across downloadable files claiming to be Flash Menus (.swf extension) Well, precisely, merely setting such themes won’t make them work. You will have to manually edit the menus or replace them with such “Flash Menus” in order to get them as they are claimed.

Next in line is CDA or CustPack. gives you a list of allowed languages etc. Your phone will malfunction if you forget to put this gentleman inside the system!!

Here’s hoping you know what debranding and unlocking are esp. because the phone loses all flexibility when its branded or locked.

And finally the Crossflashing list. If you have understood this far, then you will be able to crossflash your phone to some related model flawlessly. For your safety :P
