Idou browser to support Flash play!
Yes, you heard it right! When CNET Germany showed off the upcoming 3.5-inch smartmagicphone on video( in main page top right also), it was clear to even a layman’s eyes that the browser has embedded Flash support in it.
From the video, the browser looks slick and speedy with no lag as the page is dragged around. This, pretty obviously is a really good news for major Sony Ericsson phones have lacked this play-on support. Interestingly, the Idou prototype uses microSD memory cards, rather than some variant of Sony’s Memory Stick. So one can really expect a lot more from this phone than just a big screen or powerful camera. Continue reading »

How about a controller to play games??
For all those who are planning to get their hands on Sony Ericsson W705, this is seriously a great news for who would not want a Bluetooth games controller with the phone sporting an analogue joystick and four buttons?
Yea, that’s right! T-Mobile is bundling the Zeemote, along with homoerotic-car-battle-movie-tie-in game Fast & Furious, with a Sony Ericsson W705 walkman phone.
Sony Ericsson W705 is a great music phone, except for its lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack, so the addition of the Zeemote should make it the ideal package for long train journeys or family holidays!

Alongwith the muscle-car action of Fast & Furious, the phone will come pre-loaded with two more Zeemote-compatible games: Continue reading »

Serkan Toto of Mobilecrunch gave us a brief glimpse of Sony Ericsson G9 along with the charismatic KDDI iidi mini Projector on 10th April at Tokyo, Japan.

The live snaps of the models were out even before. Its a late entry on Sony Ericsson’s 3G phone database line. Here’s what Serkan and others had to say-

We’re independent, lone-wolf types, who like nothing better than to walk the mean streets, humming the lyrics to Under the Bridge. But, when that gets boring, we like to turn on our sat-nav and pretend the pretty lady voice is our best friend.
So we’re looking forward to the launch of a new feature for the Sony Ericsson 715 Walkman Phone that will see three London-based singer-songwriters perform a sat-nav tour of their hipster hangouts.
The three arbiters of cool are Amy Studt (pictured), who supported Razorlight in 2007 under the imaginative alias Jane Wails;

Eliza Doolittle, who’s been working on her accent; and Zarif, whose Box of Secrets song features in a Sky TV advert.
The feature will work with the W715′s turn-by-turn GPS navigation feature, and include info about ‘Zarif’s favourite watering hole or the vintage boutique which is the source of Eliza Doolittle’s unique style’. Presumably Zarif will have to find a new watering hole after hers is swamped with losers clutching W715s who want to make new friends.
