From the Manufactures Of ASPEN new phone leaked code named Sony Ericsson Jolie

Sources say that this is Windows Mobile 7 OS based phone. Jolie is having

1GHz processor which is minimum requirement for window mobile 7 also

4′ Multi touch Capacitive WVGA display
5 MP camera
QWERTY Keyboard

looks like its going to be a similar one like Xperia X10 but with QWERTY Keyboard

We know the Window Mobile 7 is out but it has not started shipping with handsets till now so there is no release date from Sony Ericsson till now but is expected in Q1 of 2011.

Considering the steep drop of sales of its top-slot phones such as Xperia X10, X2, Aino and Satio, Sony Ericsson is bringing in the human touch to its newest scheme. Year 2010 will see the arrival of a new phone from the propreitors, which you have heard before as Kurara, now curiously re-named Vivaz, which features a “human curvature” design.It is basically a touchscreen 3G cell phone that captures high-definition 720p video, and also snaps photos with an 8.1-megapixel camera that includes face detection and geo-tagging.

It runs Symbian S60. Among its other top-slot features are a TV-out for displaying video on an HDTV, YouTube compatibility, aGPS, and Wi-Fi. It measures 4.2 by 2.0 by 0.5 inches (HWD) and weighs just 3.4 ounces, and also includes a 360×640-pixel 16:9 touch screen.

“The Vivaz offers beauty inside and out,” said Lennard Hoornik, Sony Ericsson’s head of marketing. “We’ve created a mobile phone that makes it easy to catch life in high-quality video.”

After the furore over Xperia X10 a.k.a Rachael, Kurara seems to be back in news. Sony Ericsson’s Satio Sequel and sister Kurara is out on leaks..

Yes some apparently true pictures of the phone have been doing rounds. Here’s what we have-

Satio’s Successor??

If you are one of those who hated listening to the price tag of Sony Ericsson Satio shaking your head in disagreement over its disadvantages and undeserving functions, then don’t bother reading this post. Satio, apparently is or hasn’t been designed in solitude. It had company. Yes. A sequel. Well, interestingly, the photo that we have may not conform to any prior rumours or truth, but as promise, we must bring out the scoop

Named Kurara, the Satio sequel will probably be a device based on the Symbian S60 platform.

Sources confirm a large 3.5 inch touch screen and an 8.1 MP camera.

Sony Ericsson X10 Confirmed??

Apparently, Rachael will make an official statement very soon, as per inside scoops. Youtube just loaded a a brochure for the phone.. that is yet to see the market light. As GSM Arena quite intelligently pointed out, the brochure states that X10 or Rachael, whatever you feel like, will capture images of 1920 x 1080 pixels, that is, equivalent to a 2 MP camera standards.

Most of us are already aware of its important features such as the 8MP camera with autofocus, image stabilization, face detection, smile shutter, LED flash and VGA video recording.

Sony Ericsson identifies second life for old phones

Company reveals mobile phone components are already being used in medical equipment, consumer goods and childrens’ toys.

Sony Ericsson has revealed that it is likely to expand an innovative recycling scheme to reuse many of the components from its old phones in medical equipment, consumer goods and even toys.

Speaking to BusinessGreen.com, Mats Pellback-Scharp, head of corporate sustainability at the mobile phone giant, said that growing numbers of technology firms are realising it is more cost-effective to buy colour displays, cameras and touch-screen technologies from old phones than develop the systems themselves.

“The volume of phones we are collecting for recycling is now at a scale where it is perfectly feasible for companies to take the old components and reuse them,” he explained. “That is already happening, and you can find technologies that contain our old components.”

The plan to encourage greater reuse of phone components is part of a wider environmental push from Sony Ericsson, which is launching its latest green phone, the Naite, in the UK next week.

Pellback-Scharp said the new phone will feature a new energy efficient charger that uses just 30mW when in standby mode compared to an industry average of 300mW and a previous best for a Sony Ericsson charger of 100mW.

“We’ve got it down to really low standby power that is just one tenth of the industry average,” he said, adding that the improved charger would now become the standard for many of the company’s future phones. “Some phones with larger screens require chargers with a higher power output,” he explained. “But we are working on improving the energy efficiency of those too.”

The Naite also features recycled plastics, an information manual that is programmed into the phone to cut down on paper use, and is PVC and BFR free.

Pellback-Scharp said that further improvements in energy efficiency were in the pipeline with a number of innovations planned for upcoming models. “We are currently looking at improving the efficiency of the phone itself by using light sensors to check when you can dim the screen,” he said.

However, Sony Ericsson is less convinced by speculation that phone chargers could soon be ousted altogether by integrating solar panels into phones that ensure they are constantly charging.

“We did a concept study on solar panels and found that it takes more energy to manufacture the solar panel than to recharge a conventional phone,” he said. “Until solar panels improve solar phones will still be a gimmick.”

Sony Ericsson to Include Flexion on Future Handsets

Japanese-Swedish phone maker Sony Ericsson will pack its future handsets with the Flexion technology from Accumulate UK, according to a global licensing deal the two companies signed and announced recently. According to Accumulate UK, Sony Ericsson becomes this way the first handset vendor around the world to include mobile games with Flexion on new mobile phones, based on the success Hutchison 3G UK has had.

As many of you might already know, it was only recently that mobile phones started to come to the market with pre-loaded games. Games are now seen as a necessary component of any mobile phone, yet they were only considered a means of cheering oneself up before. Full versions of games were present on handsets previously only after phone makers paid publishers license fees for them.

However, Accumulate UK’s Flexion technology is meant to transform the costs handset makers register for having full game versions pre-loaded on their devices into a revenue stream. What it is meant to do is to make users curious about the content on their devices and allow them to try out games before they purchase them, while also offering them ‘rent for the day’ or ‘have-a-go for 25p’ options, the company states.

“We are delighted that Sony Ericsson has taken this step together with us. We have been preloading Flexion enabled games with operators for a while now with very good results. With the help of Sony Ericsson we will extend our reach significantly,” Accumulate’s MD Jens Lauritzson commented on the agreement between the two companies.

The Flexion technology has been also designed so as to promote games similar to the ones pre-loaded on the handset, something that should end up in new trials and sales. According to Accumulate, this move is called ‘on-device retailing.’ The technology is to be included first on Sony Ericsson’s Yari device, due for release before the end of the year.
