A record 2.5 millions, Sony Ericsson’s Pocket TV, a phenomenal digital media experience, breaks all bounds! As told to TechRadar, the programme that is already running its 9th week out of the appointed 13, has surely surprised the TRP raters
The show, which features a presenter talking to celebrities while wearing his underwear (quizzing in his pants), was designed as free downloadable show for mobile phones via http://pockettvshow.mobi.
It has also been extended to YouTube, where SE tells us it has been a big hit since its inception from 4 June.
A bit patchy work of video but hey thanks anyway.
Peeps, this is Sony Ericsson Xperia X2
Programmers, Rejoice! Sony Ericsson is getting ready to hire you to make applications for the Play Now App Stores and the already popular Fun & Downloads section.
Initially, developers for Java ME and Symbian OS are invited to become part of the ecosystem, which gives access to an installed base of more than 200 million Sony Ericsson phone users. Later this year, the process will cover additional mobile software platforms.
“There is huge consumer interest in applications that make communication a more personal and enhanced entertainment experience. We recognize that it needs to be simple and attractive for developers to reach those consumers and that there need to be established content channels through which to push creative applications. Our new application submission process addresses these needs, giving developers easy-to-use access to the Sony Ericsson PlayNow arena market place” said Christopher David, head of Developer and Partner Engagement at Sony Ericsson.

Do we need more, Yea.. that’s why Rachael(X3)came to view
Thanks ShadoW
Expansys has done it again:P
Hear! Hear!
The online retailers exposed the phone’s specifications. And it seems burying all speculations regarding its offical name, called it (read confidently)Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 (codenamed Rachael) will run Android OS but retains certain features of its predecessor- i.e., the proprietary 3D panel user interface, the X1 is popular for.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 will feature a 4-inch touchscreen display with the unusual resolution of 852 x 480 pixels. The 800 x 400 pixel resolution reported by Expansys is more likely a mistake as the screen aspect ratio is different. The 852 x 480 pixel one sounds more probable as confirmed by a leaked portrait video that we’ve reported on before.
Sony Ericsson has been made aware of an online email campaign claiming that Ericsson will give away a free laptop computer to users who forward the promotional information. The same campaign includes a photograph of the Sony Ericsson logo and mentions an Ericsson contact name and email number.
Sony Ericsson confirms that this email campaign is a hoax. In addition, Sony Ericsson confirms that the Ericsson contact name does not exist.
“Miles to Go Before I Sleep”
This seems to be Sony Ericsson’s refrain now-a-days. The company’s I@the Road or what it calls its tagline “Sony Ericsson gives you the Journey” has taken an initiative to stop the mishappenings owing to mobile usage while drives. In some really cool (Read eco-Friendly) interface, we are made aware of the company’s growing (apparent) concern for road safety with maximum pleasure consumption
Special emphasis has been put on in-car devices that include the bluetooth headsets (VH 310 and VH 300 apart from other accessories)
Sony Ericsson, in this initiative, has been partnered by brands such as Audi, BMW, MINI, Honda, Lexlis, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, SAAB, Toyota etc.
Here’s where you need to start your Journey

Ah! All those poor mobile phone users who just bought a new 3G phone and thought of keeping it for atleast two years will need to scream at this-
Japan’s NTT DoCoMo says it will press ahead with a 2010 launch of 4G or Long-Term Evolution (LTE) services on its own, much as it did with 3G in 2001.
Key to persuading customers to use 4G services will be convincing them that phones can be the centre of their entertainment lives. To that end, LTE will play a significant role in quickly delivering movies and other media over connections expected to hit 300Mbps.
