I can not really authenticate this little piece of news that I found over that T-Mobile, but this maybe just be an extended version of Sony Ericsson C905 with awesome 3G functionality thrown in along with sleek looks

Rumored Sony Ericsson CS8 breaks from Sony Ericsson’s traditional model naming convention, Its probably an 8.1 megapixel slider with myFaves (the myFaves logo is stuck on the back of the user manual’s diagrams, and it is displayed prominently on virtually every device T-Mobile
). Whether it sports anything else apart from the normal GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi, is yet to be seen

April 21st, Today, you get a brand new version, a wireless technology that is all set to sweep you off the floors with its amazing speed and out of the world features
The new latest Bluetooth 3.0 version will reportedly feature “dramatically increased speeds, allowing for the transfer of large video files, music collections and photo libraries wirelessly within seconds.” BT 3.0 should also include a newfangled ability called Enhanced Power Control (EPC), which will supposedly “reduce the occurrence of disconnects that can be caused by actions such as putting a phone in a pocket, backpack, letter case or purse.” Today we get a bootload of lists and chip makers that are lined to support this new version.
Today, on April 21, the Bluetooth SIG will officially announce Bluetooth 3.0 – it’s Bluetooth, faster, via 802.11. The speed of Bluetooth 3.0 will expand home entertainment and CE use cases in these under-penetrated markets.
Transferring an entire music library, a complete DVD, a vacation’s worth of photos, all within seconds at the touch of a button and wirelessly will now be possible. And while speed is the coolest part of 3.0, there’s also good news for the headset and handset crowds – a new feature called Enhanced Power Control reduces the incidence or disconnects caused by movement such as placing a phone in a pocket or purse.

On the technical side, it is a Generic Alternate MAC / PHY (AMP) that will enable Bluetooth profiles to take advantage of 802.11 speeds. The 802.11 Protocol Adaption Layer (PAL) will enable the Generic AMP feature to be used with an 802.11 radio.
Post has been updated as the specifications are out Find them all at Bluetooth.com

Sony Ericsson CEO Hideki Komiyam hinted that the company may take some time before putting into consideration the practical implications of using Google’s Android software interface in their new phones.
Its strange that the company has decided to give rest to its usage of the software when rivals HTC and many other companies are actually rushing forth to shell out phones with its help.

“It does require a lot of evaluation, as well as a lot of testing, a lot of acceptance from a consumer viewpoint, and there is still some time to go,” Komiyama told Reuters in an interview.
“Looking ahead I think that we see this as one of the important operating systems, there is no doubt,” he said.
The sinking Titanic has further decided to use three operating systems in its high-end phones — Symbian, Android and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile- this comes as a welcome relief in this age of smartphones!
“Our focus is on how can we differentiate from the competitors using the same operating system.” Komiyama said further that the company owing to dissatisfaction of customers, has decided to concentrate more on user interface ( the latest key cramping, of so un-Sony Ericssonish- standards, cast a bad impression already despite the phone’s other advantages)

In case you are wondering what the above pic could mean, it is probably a tampering of the T707 Elle release pic in order to create hype. As for now, we have no idea
The company’s hopes are all pinned on the release and sale of the much awaited Idou. Let’s see what happens next.

Sony Ericsson has unsurprisingly posted some grim financial results for Q1 2009 and has decided to shed more staff as a result.
Every element on the report showed a decline for the Swedish-Japanese alliance, with one of the major talking points a 35 per cent decrease in sales year on year down from 22.3 million handsets in 2008 to 14.5 million in Q1 2009.
SE put this down to “a result of continued weak consumer confidence and de-stocking in the retail and distribution channels,” which hardly fills anyone with confidence of a quick rebound.
Other poor results included a depreciation of sales from €2,702 (£2,384) down to €1,736 (£1,532) in 2009, and restructuring charges (largely due to already shedding 2,000 jobs) costing €12 million.

The SE company have reveild Media Go which is a new software to Se phone’s.
Media Go did cause a lot of commotion in the comments section of therecently published Sony Ericsson W995 review. It is the neweat and the first phone to come bundled with Media Go and some users felt that Sony Erricson didn’t stress enough on the potentially overwhelming capabilities of this new software.
Well, truth be told, We though that at first we didn’t really think such software is the kind of feat to write home about, so we just didn’t share that enthusiasm. But guess what what we did as soon as we acquired a working beta copy of Media Go. That’s right, we went writing about it. We Knew that this sofware had created a lot of better sound and improving the sounds of the phone. Only on SE-lifestyle
